President
The President is the principle officer of California Advisory Council on Military Education (CA-ACME). The President shall lead, oversee, and is ultimately responsible for all functions of the organization, ensuring its continued growth and development, continuity, and financial stability. This position is supported by the President Elect, the other Executive Officers, and the Advisors.
- Responsibilities
- Strategic planning.
- Establish new ventures and committees as appropriate.
- Oversee all committee chairs and ensure that work is being done in support of the mission.
- Ensure that the Board is committed to achieving the mission.
- Shall be the signature authority on all legalities and communication.
- Financial
- Approve CA-ACME’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Board
- Ensure the Board adheres to its bylaws, policies, and constitution.
- Encourage board members to participate in external meetings and activities to expand the CA-ACME image within California.
- Recognize board members’ contributions to Board’s work.
- Organize and conduct board and executive officer meetings.
- Delegate responsibilities and provide support to the committee chairs.
- Work with the Board and committees in developing vision, strategic direction.
- Work with the Board in creating a strategic plan and business plan.
- Ensure that all board members have full understanding and knowledge of legalities and organizational policies.
- Hold board members accountable, but also have the understanding that the Board is a volunteer-board.
- Management
- Ensure that CA-ACME adheres to and remains compliant regarding 501c3 status.
- Represent the organization by negotiating, signing, and managing legalities, communications, and contracts.
- Ensure that organizational actions conform to the bylaws.
- Obtain all signatures on all contracts from the Board. Notify board members who are not fulfilling their responsibilities.
- Delegate responsibilities to board members as appropriate.
