Board of directors
The Board of Directors shall consist of the Executive Officers, also known as the Executive Board of CA-ACME: president, president elect, past president, vice president, vice president elect, secretary, and treasurer; and three (3) additional board members, also known as advisors. Board of Directors will support the work of CA-ACME and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance.

While day-to-day operations are led by the Executive Board, the Board Members – Executive Board relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Board members will consider CA-ACME a philanthropic priority and ensure that membership fees and sponsorship opportunities are sought. Failure to meet these expectations can result in immediate termination within the Board.

The following expectations of Board Members are:
- Show initiative and be committed;
- Believe in the CA-ACME mission;
- Pay the full annual membership fee. Be an active member of CA-ACME;
- Full attendance is required at the annual symposium and it is expected for the Board Members to participate in set up/break down of the symposium. Board members are required to pay the full registration fee for the symposium;
- Participate on committees. Board members may only chair one committee; however, it is expected for board members to participate as committee members on other committees. Committee chairs are appointed by the Executive Board;
- Attend and fully participate in all scheduled board meetings;
- Fulfill any additional roles and responsibilities that are unique to their individual board position.
